  • About The School

    What grades do you serve?

    Since 2005, Seeds Learning Center has earned the reputation as the area’s most highly sought-after early learning center for preschool aged children. Due to the growing demand for quality, whole-child academic choices, Seeds has expanded its offering to include early elementary education, kindergarten and first grade.

    How many students attend Seeds Learning Center & Academy?

    Current enrollment is approximately 75 children. As we grow we will average 110-125 during any given school year.

    How many students are in each class?

    Classes are typically 10 to 16 students, however, some classes may have additional students in certain circumstances. There are 1 to 2 teachers per class depending on the grade level; Seeds continuously evaluates and will adjust for the optimum student to teacher ratio based on the environment, subject matter and unique dynamics of each student group.

    Additionally, smaller group instruction is offered for certain subjects and topics such as language arts and mathematics, with six to eight students in each group. Specialist instructors are often used to teach fine arts, Spanish, music, computer science, hands-on science, and physical education.

    Does your curriculum conform to Washington State standards?

    Seeds offers a standards-based curriculum that far exceeds Washington requirements. The typical student excels beyond the national average on standardized tests and beyond their respective grade levels. Seeds alumni are inspired, confident, well-organized students who are prepared for the wide ranging personal and academic challenges that lie ahead.

    Are you a faith based school?

    Seeds is a non-religious learning center. We emphasize religious tolerance and understanding and do not ignore the symbols, expressions and spirit of major religions. Instead, through sharing and celebrating major holidays together, students become familiar with major religions’ similarities, including hope, peace, faith and good will.


  • Our Classes

    Do you teach foreign language?

    Seeds believes that exposure to foreign languages and cultures are an important component to developing open-minded, well-rounded human beings. Students receive introductory Spanish instruction, beginning with simple phonetics and vocabulary building and correct syntax. Besides learning Spanish, students are exposed to various cultures around the world.

    Do you offer art and music classes?

    Art and music are essential ingredients of the Seeds curriculum. Through unique arrangements and partnerships with area experts as well as in house talents, Seeds offers students a broad range of experiences and learning.

    Seeds art and music curriculum is designed to cultivate a love and appreciation for artist expression and utilizes a wide variety of materials, methods and approaches.

    What about computers and technology?

    The effective use of computers and technology are also a key academic imperative. The objective of the computer continuum is to ensure that all students are able to utilize technology to most effectively help them learn, explore, and communicate with others.

    How much is tuition?

    Tuition for the 2016/2017 school year is:

    • Academy: $6000 per year with a $150 book and technology fee.
    • Blossoms/Kinder-Ready: $4450 per year with a $150 book and technology fee.
    • Seedlings: $3600 per year with $150 book and technology fee.
    • Sprouts: $2500 per year with $150 book and technology fee.

    Prepayment and sibling discounts are also available.

    Do you offer any summer programs?

    For the past ten years, Seeds has offered a dynamic and exciting six-week summer camp program that has become one of the area’s most popular. Keep young minds sharp over the summer and enjoy outdoor fun! Seeds Summer Camps are the perfect balance of learning and play. Spots fill up fast, so make sure to return your registration promptly to secure your camp choices.

  • What about Safety & Security?

    Seeds is a safe and secure environment. In addition to smoke and fire detection systems, response drills and procedures, we actively engage staff and students in awareness and education so that in case of emergency, we respond quickly and confidently.

    Training and awareness procedures also exist for a variety of security and potential confrontational situations. We employ standards for check-in, attendance, mid-day roll call and early check out, as well as procedures for heightened security.

    Where are you located?

    Seeds Learning Center is conveniently located on North Western Avenue in Wenatchee between 9th and Maple Street and offers convenient access to both the North and South end bridges. Seeds parents easily commute from our neighboring communities including East Wenatchee, Sunnyslope, Cashmere, Orondo, Malaga and Leavenworth.

    What are your hours?

    During the school year (Early September – Mid June) our office is open for currently enrolled families from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and by appointment for others or outside of normal hours.

    School hours are 8:00 am – 3:00 pm with unique class times for each Center. Please refer to the classes for individual days and times of each Center and Class.

    During our summer camps (Mid-June through the end of July) our office is open from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
    Camp hours are generally from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm with unique class time for each camp; please refer to the AM and PM Camp Schedules.

    How do I register?

    Registration inquiries and facility tours are always welcome and available by appointment. Enrollment begins during the winter months preceding the student’s target enrollment date. You are encouraged to enroll as far in advance as possible as Seeds Learning Center & Academy is typically in high demand.

    In addition to completing the appropriate forms and payment of the registration fee, the process includes an interview with the parents and children, as well as an evaluation of each prospective student’s academic and social capabilities. Siblings of current students are given priority status for upcoming enrollment. Please note, space is limited and Seeds is unable to accept all interested candidates applying for enrollment.

    Am I required to volunteer? What other requirements are there if my child is enrolled?

    We welcome and encourage parents’ involvement both in and outside the classroom as well as our PTA. Although your child’s enrollment is not dependent on your participation in any particular area, please note that we are an independent school and, because of this, we depend on the assistance and support of our families for various activities including field trips, specialists for specific learning initiatives, support of school fundraising events that help fund the expansion of programs and facility enhancements as well as participation in various community outreach and volunteerism events.
